Story:

“চলে নীল শাড়ি, নিঙাড়ি নিঙাড়ি—
পরাণ সহিত মোর”

Our Pujo collection of Shantipuri weaves are Poetry on Fabric. We have been inspired from references of Saree in literature. These lines were written by Chandidas, the author of Baishab Padabali. The 14^th Century poet describes how Radha’s blue saree drags Krishna’s heart along the pathway she walks. The lovestruck Krishna, the freshly bathed Radha and her blue saree that matches her lover’s colours – inspiration in poetry.
