BOBBY POSTER JAMDANI

The Bobby Poster Saree is my first purchase from Parama & I bought it because my "daak naam" is Bobby. My father named me Bobby because he loved the film very much; it was one of the first films that my parents saw together as a couple. I was delighted to come across the saree & although slightly expensive, I just had to buy it, because it has so much personal significance for me. I bought it as a gift to myself for my birthday!

I am a "Calcutta" girl, who loves quirky, thematic, handwoven & handloom Bengali sarees & so find Parama's products delightful. I love the white with red polka dot Jamdani Bobby Saree, but just wish that the saree didn't have the black particles in the threads, which is a characteristic of the handloom process, which Parama explained to me. Dry washing will hopefully remove those particles; but having seen the amount & visibility of the particles against a white background, I am most likely not going to invest in a white handloom saree, even if I like it, which is a shame.
