The headgear adorned by the Odissi dancer is full of symbolism -
The flowers at the back represent the kadamb flowers which are said to be a favourite of Lord Krishna, the presiding deity in Odissi. The buds on the side represent the sun rays while the centre piece represent the Jaganath Puri Temple tower.
The Blue Odissi Tahiyaa is hand embroidered on the back of the blouse. The sleeves have hand embroidered details too.
