BHARATNATYAM (SAREE)

Story:

This is our tribute to the iconic dance form of Tamil Nadu. As young children, most Bengali girls would go to their dance and music classes on a Sunday morning. And Bharatnatyam was one of the most prominent forms of them all. 

Mixing my own childhood memories of Calcutta and Madras, this blouse is created. Silk of the saree is carefully pleated to form the dance attire while tiny ghungroos adorn her feet.
