Story: 

We all have that one design in any collection which we love the most and are secrectly proud of. This is that design from our Madras Magic.

Padmavathi or Goddess Laxmi. She is brought to life by my embroidery artisans who are all Muslims. The amount of hard work, the love and the devotion they have put in this work, makes me realise how art and love has no religion.

The way the embroiderer mixed wool and thread to create malli poo malai (Jasmine flower garlands) melts my heart. This one design is a work of art.
