STORY:

I had photographed tiles at Kariappa House in Pondicherry. The tile patterns are quintessential Athangudi. 

I took pictures of all corners of this beautiful house - painstakingly restored over five years by INTACH Pondicherry and converting a family home into a stunning home stay. 

The blouse pattern are those Athangudi tiles. Embroidered on sleeves of the blouse. Kariappa house tiles are as fascinating as their restoration history, their ambiance and their breathtaking Franco Tamil architecture.
